I, Lacee Smith, am a dedicated advocate for positive change and progress in Payson, Utah. I am excited to share my values with you, that will guide my tenure as your representative on the city council.

My Reason for Running

I am running for city council because I believe that everyone in Payson matters and deserves to be heard.

Smart growth is needed. Payson is at a crucial time in its growth. I want to be your public service member of the community that will help keep our small-town feel during the anticipated expansion and many challenges Payson is facing.

We are all experiencing tough times. Many of us question the intent or necessity of increases in taxes and fees. I will dedicate myself to hold Payson City fiscally responsible, something that many are asking for. After obtaining my Masters in Business Administration, I have spent my time working in the finance/ accounting field.

With my background in finance, I can step into this role quickly, while helping analyze budgets, keeping the growth smart and listening to the citizens of Payson.

My vision is centered around building a more prosperous, community centered and vibrant city for all. By fostering collaboration, promoting responsible development, and enhancing essential services, we can create a city that thrives economically and remains a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.

1. Volunteer: Join with other great volunteers and contribute your time and skills to help the campaign succeed.

2. Donate: Your generous donations will enable me to reach more residents and spread the message of progress.

3. Spread the Word: Share the campaign on social media and within your community to amplify the campaign message and reach more supporters.

4. Request a yard sign:  Simply fill out the Yard Sign section if you would like to have a yard sign displayed in your yard. After the campaign, I will come around and remove all signs. 

5. Hold a Cottage Meeting : A cottage meeting is a small, informal gathering of people, often held in a private residence or a small community setting, to discuss and exchange ideas on various topics, such as political issues, community concerns, or social matters. These meetings are typically more personal and less structured than formal public meetings or conferences.
