About Me:
Hello, Payson residents! I'm Lacee Smith, and I've proudly called Payson home since 2015. In 2017 I married my husband, Kyle. I'm also a dedicated mother to 15-year-old twin girls and a lively 7-year-old son. When I'm not engaging in community service, you'll find me immersed in activities that reflect my passion for life—horseback riding, gardening, perfecting my award-winning sourdough, and preserving a diverse array of foods. Additionally, I'm an avid enthusiast of helping various animal rescues & shelters, music events and comedy shows.
Why I'm Running:
I've decided to step into the arena of public service and run for Payson City Council because I'm deeply invested in the well-being of our community. In the face of significant changes within our city, I've heard the frustrations of many fellow citizens and it has compelled me to be an advocate for what the citizens of Payson are wanting. I'm committed to being a strong voice for the concerns of our community, ensuring that your voices are heard, and working tirelessly to address all communicated, making a positive difference where it matters most.
Professional Background:
With a Masters in Business Administration and over a decade of experience in finance, specializing in the construction industry and international accounting, I am well-versed in audits and budgets. This expertise equips me to make fiscally responsible decisions for the citizens of Payson. I am also a licensed Realtor, giving me a deep understanding of the local real estate landscape and its implications on our community.
Community Engagement:
Payson has been an integral part of my life, not only as a resident but also as an engaged parent. Active within local schools and having served as the chairperson on the Mt Nebo Middle School Community Council & Payson Junior High, I am deeply connected to the pulse of our community. I actively participate in Payson city events and will advocate for your concerns, representing your interests in decisions that shape our city.

I understand the concerns regarding spending, increased taxes, and utilities, and I am committed to implementing prudent fiscal measures where I can.
